PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a photo-curable liquid stored in a waste liquid tank from leaking outside. SOLUTION: An inkjet head 3 and a UV irradiation device 4 are made movable back and forth together with a carriage 2 in a scan direction. The inkjet head 3 and the UV irradiation device 4 are opposed to a platen 5 arranged below them. The platen 5 is transparent and has the waste liquid tank 12 disposed below. Printing is carried out to a recording paper P by ejecting a UV-curable ink to the recording paper P set on the platen 5 from the inkjet head 3 and by irradiating ultraviolet rays from the UV irradiation device 4. By irradiating ultraviolet rays from the UV irradiation device 4 towards the platen 5 immediately after flushing and purging, the ultraviolet rays penetrate the platen 5 to reach the waste liquid tank 12, whereby the ink in the waste liquid tank 12 is cured.
