PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily producing an aluminum tube for photoreceptor drum substrate which is superior in surface quality, free from finely split protrusive defects. SOLUTION: At production of the aluminum tube for a photoreceptor substrate by drawing an extruded stock tube P1 made of aluminum, as a pretreatment processing for drawing processing, the blade tip 60 of a scraping blade body 6 is brought into sliding contact with an outer circumferential surface of the extruded stock tube P1 moving in the axial direction at a predetermined speed; at the same time, the blade tip 60 is relatively moved in the circumferential direction of the extruded stock tube P1 and thereby, the protrusive defects on the outer circumferential surface of the extruded stock tube P1 are sheared off.
