<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly calculate the size of an input original image regardless of a reading magnification during reading an original. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This image processor is provided with: a characteristic point calculating part 31 for calculating a characteristic point of an input original image included in input image data; a characteristic amount calculating part 32 for calculating a characteristic amount of the input original image on the basis of a relative position of the calculated characteristic points of each other; a similarity determination processing part 34 for comparing the characteristic amount of the input original image with a characteristic amount of a registered original image to determine whether the input original image is similar to the registered original image; and an original inclination, size and direction detection processing part 35 for calculating a conversion coefficient for making a matrix composed of coordinates of respective characteristic points of the registered original image determined to be similar to the input original image almost coincide with a matrix composed of coordinates of respectively characteristic points of the input original image, calculating the coordinates of each corner part of the input original image by converting the coordinates of the each corner part of the registered original image on the basis of the conversion coefficient, and calculating the size of the input original image on the basis of the calculated coordinates of the each corner part.
