PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an initial screen in accordance with a factor of start-up of an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes a plurality of functions (copy function, scanner function and the like) for image formation and displays on a display section 31 screens (copy screen 311, scan screen 312 and the like) corresponding to these functions. A storage section 120 correspondingly stores therein a start-up factor of system start-up and an initial screen. When the start-up factor is input from a start-up factor input section, a control section 110 discriminates the start-up factor through start-up factor discrimination control processing and displays an initial screen corresponding to the start-up factor on the display section 31 through by-factor initial screen display control processing on system start-up.
