<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for housing and displaying a watertight information transmission medium, wherein even if a liquid, such as, rain infiltrates into the device, the information transmission medium is not wetted or hardly wetted by the liquid. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The device for housing and displaying the information transmission medium has an attachment means or a mounting means and has a waterproof property, and is composed of a display body formed into a box-shape and having an opening and a closing body for closing the opening. The attaching part between the display body and the closing body has a semi-waterproof structure for preventing infiltration of water. At least the display face of the display body has transparency, allowing a viewer to visually recognize information on the information transmission medium. The closing body has, at a necessary part to be the inner surface side of the display body, when combined with the display body, a separating body protruding toward the display face side of the display body and preventing the information transmission medium from directly coming into contact with the closing body, and a drain groove provided at a necessary part other than the separating body.
