<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel linear guide enabling a retainer to be easily removed from a mold and enabling the easy and reliable installation of a side seal. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This linear guide 100 includes the retainer 700 having a flexible side seal 800. One or both ends of the dovetail groove 730 of the retainer 700 are opened to the end surface of the retainer 700. The side seal 800 attached to the retainer 700 includes a base 810 fitted into the dovetail groove 730 and an elastic lip part 820 which extends from the base 810 and the front end of which is brought into contact with the path surface of a guide rail.
