The present invention relates to a road marker, one of road traffic safety facilities; more particularly, to a road marker having a sidewall and a construction method thereof, wherein the road marker has a light holder or reflector to limit and guide the driving range of a vehicle on the road and a lower body buried in a road, the lower body having a cylindrical form with an open bottom and a sidewall to define an inner space for accommodating a part of a road layer, whereby the road marker can be protected from damages caused by external impact and also prevented from sinking into the road layer due to external pressure. Accordingly, there is provided a road marker with a structure constituted by an upper body having a light holder or reflector to limit and guide the driving range of a vehicle on the road, and of a lower body formed as one piece with the upper body and buried and supported in a road layer (R1), a lower part of the road surface (R), wherein the lower body has a cylindrical form with an open bottom and a sidewall to define an inner space for accommodating a part of the road layer (R1). Moreover, a road marker of the present invention is installed by marking marks on the road surface (S1), performing core drilling (S2), applying an adhesive resin (S3) and inserting a road marker (S4). |
