The fabric section (3) has electrical conductors (2) respectively connected to connecting sections in an electrically conductive manner for connection with an electrical voltage source. The connecting sections transversely run in an effective direction (W). The connecting sections are formed from a single common, knitted-in connection conductor thread (4), where the thread is knitted between the connecting sections along a longitudinal side (6a) of the fabric section in a basic interlaid scrim (1), and is cut off in a region (9) of the side. The scrim is designed as a spacer knitted fabric. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a knitted fabric.
