<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing electrolyzed water, which can enhance the efficiency of electrolysis and suppress the temperature rise of an electrolyzer during operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for producing electrolyzed water includes generating electrolyzed water by electrolyzing raw water in an electrolyzer 40. In the method, the raw water is passed so as to keep a flow from the inlet 41 to the outlet 42 of the electrolyzer in the electrolyzer 40, and the inner pressure of the electrolyzer 40 is maintained at a negative pressure of less than -0.04 MPa.
