<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of an optical lens unit used for an optical communication optical system. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this optical lens unit 3 for condensing laser light emitted from a laser light source 1 onto a tip part of an optical fiber 2, the optical lens unit 3 includes a glass lens 4 and a lens-barrel 5 for supporting the glass lens 4, and an abutting surface 12 on the glass lens 4 in a through-hole 7 provided in the lens-barrel 5 includes at least two domains 11, 12 having each different surface roughness.
