摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent a current cut-off mechanism for cutting off current due to an abnormal increase in internal pressure of a battery from being turned off due to vibration of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The power supply device for a vehicle includes a high-voltage battery 9 formed by connecting a plurality of battery cells 1, with the current cut-off mechanism 30 for cutting off the current when the internal pressure exceeds a set pressure built into a case 20 of each cell. The case 20 has a pair of opposed planes 20A having rectangular outer forms. An electrode 10 formed by laminating positive and negative electrode plates 10A via separators 10C and the current cut-off mechanism 30 are disposed between the pair of opposed planes 20A. The plurality of battery cells 1 are laminated in an attitude with the opposed planes 20A opposed to each other to constitute a battery block 2. In the power supply device, a pair of endplates 4 are disposed on both end faces of the battery block 2, the pair of endplates 4 are coupled to a coupler 5 and the laminated battery cells 1 are pressed and fixed in the direction orthogonal to the opposed planes 20A by the pair of endplates 4.
