<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the image quality of a CT image by variable pitch helical scanning. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A view range composed of the standard view (CVp1, z3), which corresponds to the time when the standard position (TL) of a data collecting system and the position (Z3) of the reconstruction surface of the CT image coincides with each other, and the view ranges on both sides thereof is set as the view range used in the reconstruction of the CT image so that the view range on the later side of the relative rectilinear moving speed of the data collecting system as compared with the view range on the fast side of both view ranges on both sides adjacent to the standard view (CVp1, z3) may become a large view range (VR' 1p1, z3).
