<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: an elderly person is forced to take an unreasonable posture when the person puts the person's shoes into a shoe locker, i.e., the entrance floor of a conventional Japanese house is raised from the ground level by 30-50 cm, and therefore the elderly person has to turn around and kneel down after stepping on the floor and further has to take a posture of turning the person's head down to take the shoes by hand to place the shoes into the shoe locker. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A handrail is pulled near to the user, and a floor pulled out of the space under a Kamachi (sill) forms almost no step. The elderly person puts the person's feet on a turntable, takes the person's shoes off, steps onto the Agari-kamachi, returns the handrail to the original position. Then, the shoes are stored in the space under the Kamachi, and the entrance is always kept in good order.
