The invention relates to a device for bending a U- or L-shaped sheet profile, tho give an angular in particular right-angular corner, wherein the profile comprises an edge-forming arm surface preferably bent at right angles, the width of which is less than the width of the base surface, wherein two clamping devices which move relative to each other, in particular two clamping jaw pairs are provided, between which both profile regions which form the corners may be clamped and the profile bent to give the corners and a die is arranged on the outside of the apex surface in the region of the apex of the corner the direction of movement of which runs parallel to the fold edge for the corner such that the die presses from outside on the arm surface in order to bend the arm surface during the bending of the profile to give an inwards directed indentation which on further bending of the profile can be shaped to give an inwardly facing fold. The invention further relates to a corresponding method for bending a U- or L-shaped profile and the corresponding profile. |
