PURPOSE: An artificial marble and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to have properties same as a conventional artificial marble, to obtain a unique outer shape using a chip with a specific three-dimensional shape. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing an artificial marble comprises the following steps: processing a resin composition in a sheet shape; manufacturing a chip with a specific shape after molding the sheet using a frame having the specific shape which is attached to a press; and manufacturing the artificial marble using the chip having the specific shape. The viscosity of the resin composition is 50,000 - 1,000,000 cp. The resin composition includes a thickener.
