<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide instrumentation and an intervertebral disc replacement device which allow a surgeon to implant an artificial cervical disc of a fusion- or non-fusion type in a more accurate, easier and more efficient way. <P>SOLUTION: The intervertebral disc replacement device includes: a first member having a first vertebral body, a first articulation surface, and a first vertebral contact surface for engagement with a first flange with a first opening; and a second member having a second vertebral body, a second articulation surface which works with the first articulation surface to facilitate the mutual articulation between the first and second vertebral bodies, and a second vertebral contact surface for engagement with a second flange with a second opening.
