APPARATUS FOR CLEANING LEACHATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat water exuded from a controlled final disposal station (leachate) by a water treatment plant and to treat impurity-containing liquid (condensed solution) produced together with the treated water.

SOLUTION: In a method for cleaning the leachate, pH of the leachate is adjusted to an alkaline side and the leachate is blended with a silicic acid-containing inorganic material to remove metals contained in the leachate by precipitation. An apparatus used for the method is also provided. Fly ash is used as the silicic acid-containing inorganic material.
