摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercharging device for an internal combustion engine which can effectively use the energy of compressed gas to rotate a turbine wheel more than a conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: The supercharging device includes: a turbine wheel 16; and a turbine housing 17 provided with a built-in wheel housing chamber 19 for housing the turbine wheel 16. The wheel housing chamber 19 is formed so that a scroll part 21 is provided radially outside the turbine wheel 16. The scroll part 21 includes: a turbo supercharger 7 provided with a plurality of variable nozzle wings 22 arranged in the circumferential direction along the periphery of the turbine wheel 16; an accumulating tank 31 capable of accumulating compressed gas; and a gas passage 32 opened in the wheel housing chamber 19 at one end 33a thereof and connected to the accumulating tank 31 at the other end thereof. The one end 33a of the gas passage 32 is arranged closer to the turbine wheel 16 rather than a wing line L formed of the plurality of variable nozzle wings 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
