<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fall prevention device allowing a worker to work at a height in a securely safe state. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fall prevention device 10 for holding the worker includes a hanging rope 23 for connecting the fall prevention device at a prescribed position, and a holding rope 27 for holding the worker. A hanging through-hole 21 is bored at one end on the circumference of the fall prevention device 10 to connect a body part 20 and the hanging rope 23 by a shackle 22 via the hanging through-hole 21. The shackle 22 includes a U-shaped member both ends of which facing each other are in a plate shape having a through-hole, through which a shackle pin for connecting both the ends can penetrate, at the center. The shackle includes the shackle pin, a nut member which can be engaged with the shackle pin, and a shackle pin stopper means for preventing the engagement between the shackle pin and the nut member from loosening when the nut member is engaged with the shackle pin.
