The vehicle (1) has a transmission tunnel (1.2) arranged on a floor section and extending in a longitudinal extension of the vehicle. A drive train (1.3) and/or a component (1.4) e.g. catalyzer, of an exhaust gas system is attached in the tunnel. Catch elements (F1, F2) e.g. clamps, are arranged below a side wall (1.2.2) of the tunnel in an area of the component of the exhaust gas system. The catch elements lie in form-fit connection with the component of the exhaust gas system during side collision i.e. pole impact, where force (F) resulting from the collision is transferable.
