A PRINTER

摘要

A printing device, especially a printer that can print on a surface of a printing medium while moving across it, is disclosed. The printer comprises a frame (1) having a moving mechanism (2,9) and a printing unit (4). The frame is further provide with a control unit (3) connected with the moving mechanism and the printing unit. While the moving mechanism drives the whole printer move along the surface of the printing medium under the control of the control unit, the printing unit prints image or character on the surface of the printing medium line by line under the control of the same. Due to the moving mechanism that is arranged on the frame of the printer and that can drive the printer move as a whole, the present invention can print on the surface of the printing medium while moving across it,therefore solving a problem as to directly printing on an object which has a quite large thickness or which can not move.
