The method involves cutting foils (3a, 3b) in the form of surface areas (2) using laser during simultaneous fixing of foils on the surface areas by edge fusion of the foils with the surface areas along cutting lines. The foils are laminated on the respective surface areas, where each foil is utilized for each area. The characteristics of the areas are adjusted to the function of the foils in an individual or selective manner. The foils are removed using gas flow after cutting the foils. An independent claim is also included for a device for lamination of surface areas of functional structure and/or electronic components.
