PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide superconductor that reduces both hysteresis loss and coupling loss in AC loss. SOLUTION: The oxide superconductor includes a cylindrical conductive base and an oxide superconductor layer formed on the periphery of the conductive base, wherein a plurality of spiral slits are formed so that they pass through the oxide superconductor layer in the thickness direction, thereby dividing the oxide superconductor layer in the thickness direction.
