PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which problems with the conventional methods for producing iodine pentafluoride are avoided, reaction between fluorine and iodine is allowed to proceed mildly, and iodine pentafluoride can be produced with higher safety and higher productivity. SOLUTION: The method for producing iodine pentafluoride includes: feeding an iodine pentafluoride solution in which iodine is dissolved into an ejector 4 from an ejector inlet 13; sucking a fluorine-containing gas into the ejector 4 from a suction hole 14 of the ejector when the iodine pentafluoride solution passes through the ejector 4; spouting a mixture of the iodine pentafluoride solution and the fluorine-containing gas from an ejector outlet 15 into a liquid phase comprising an iodine pentafluoride solution in which iodine is dissolved; and reacting iodine and fluorine in the liquid phase.
