Disclosed is a remote monitoring and control device capable of dealing with various types of input signal. An interface circuit (300) is provided with: rectification means (331, 332) that rectifies a signal that is applied between input terminals (301) and (302); constant-voltage means (343) that drops the output signal of the rectification means (331, 332) to a constant voltage; and detection means (351, 352, 361) that detects the signal that has been converted to a constant voltage by the constant-voltage means (343) and transmits this signal to a control circuit.
