<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raised pavement marker capable of retroreflecting either of light at close range and light at long range with a high degree of reflection brightness. <P>SOLUTION: This raised pavement marker is attached to a marker body 10 in a state in which a first retroreflective element 12 and a second retroreflective element comprising a corner cube array are arranged in such a manner that light applied from single direction makes a simultaneous entry into each of entrance-exit surfaces. The first retroreflective element 12 comprises a columnar or plate-like transparent body; a front surface serves as the entrance-exit surface 56; a rear surface serves as a first reflecting surface 58; one of side surfaces serves as a second reflecting surface 60; the entrance-exit surface 56 is formed in a toroidal shape protruding forward in a lateral view; the first reflecting surface 58 is formed in a toroidal shape protruding backward in a lateral view; and an angle between the second reflecting surface 60 and a plane including all side portions of the first reflecting surface 58 is set as a right angle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
