<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To aim at making the exhaust harmless and drastically decreasing the ash delivery by ashing a material to be treated through cold decomposition treatment. <P>SOLUTION: This method of making a cold decomposition treatment of the material to be treated comprises the following treatment procedures: first, the material to be treated is loaded into a treatment device from above, then the magnetized air passing through a magnetic field of 0.25 to 1.0 Tesla, is conducted into the material by heating the lower part of the material, and the material is successively put to a decomposition treatment from the bottom of the material. As a result, the material is carbonized and ashed. After these procedures, the magnetized air is allowed to naturally flow into the lower inside of the treatment device, following natural exhaustion from an exhaust tube on one side top of the treatment device, and the material successively descends under the applied proper weight of the undecomposed top part of the material, as the treatment of the material near the inflow spot of the magnetized air, progresses and consequently, the creation of a cavity in the material can be prevented from occurring. Further, the untreated materials are loaded anew one by one proportionately to the decrease of the material which is already through with the treatment.
