<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller of an automatic transmission which prevents over-revolution when the neutral state is shifted to a forward running state during running. <P>SOLUTION: When the shift range is operated from the neutral range to the forward running range during running and shifted to a forward fifth shift stage, a gear ratio discrepancy determination means determines whether or not the rotational speed of an input shaft is larger than a value obtained by adding a predetermined value to the theoretical rotational speed of the input shaft at the forward fifth shift stage calculated based on the rotational speed of an output shaft (S7). When the gear ratio discrepancy determination means determines that there is the possibility that the forward third shift stage is formed, an over-revolution determination means determines whether or not the over-revolution occurs when the forward third shift stage is engaged at the present vehicle speed (S7). When it is determined that the over-revolution occurs, engagement control to the forward fifth shift stage is interrupted to avoid the over-revolution by shifting to the neutral state until the vehicle speed drops (S20-S23). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
