PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor wherein security protection related to use of a biometric authentication device is enhanced. SOLUTION: When a device-ID 153 of a fingerprint authentication device 111 does not accord with a BIOS (Basic input/output system)-ID 151 of a password confirmation module 101, the password confirmation module 101 does not admit authentication by the fingerprint authentication device 111, and performs the authentication by input of a BIOS password 152. When the authentication is satisfied, the password confirmation module 101 freshly performs the authentication by the fingerprint authentication device 111 (using fingerprint data 154). When the authentication is satisfied, the password confirmation module 101 supplies the device-ID that is a value agreed with the BIOS-ID 151 of the password confirmation module 101 to the fingerprint authentication device 111, and allows the authentication by the fingerprint authentication device 111 from next time.
