<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a sealed battery equipped with a liquid injection structure in which a laser welding failure of a sealing plug is hard to occur. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A protruding part 32 has an insertion part 322 inserted into a liquid injection hole, and when an inclination angle of a surface at a flat-plate shaped pressing part 31 side end part of the insertion part 322 is denoted by θ1, an inclination angle of a surface at the tip part of the insertion part 322 is denoted by θ2, an inclination angle of a surface at arbitrary distance Hn from the flat-plate shaped pressing part 31 side end part of the insertion part 322 is denoted by θn, and an inclination angle of a surface at a part contacting the lower end part of the liquid injection hole of the insertion part 322 is denoted by θx, relations of θ2>θ1, θn+1≥θn, and 97°>θ1≥θx>92° are satisfied, and when the diameter of the liquid injection hole is denoted by P, the diameter of a part contacting the upper end part of the liquid injection hole of the insertion part 322 is denoted by L1, the diameter of the tip part of the insertion part 322 is denoted by L3, and the diameter of the part contacting the lower end part of the liquid injection hole of the insertion part 322 is denoted by L4, a relation of 1.2P>L1>L4>P>L3>0.7P is satisfied.
