PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording apparatus capable of performing a high quality recording on a recording medium without floating up of the front end side of the recording medium from a conveying belt even when the size of the recording medium is different or images are recorded on both faces of the recording medium. SOLUTION: The image recording apparatus includes: the conveying part 19 comprising the conveying belt 26 and an air sucking part for sucking air through the conveying belt and attracting the recording medium on the conveying belt; a recording head 20 for delivering ink onto the recording medium conveyed by the conveying part to perform the recording; and an attracting force adjusting part for adjusting an attracting force of the recording medium on the conveying belt generated by air sucking in accordance with the size of the recording medium.
