SCATTERING PREVENTIVE COVER

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scattering preventive cover recovering chips with a simple structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The scattering preventive cover is used for a tool member 12 which is axially rotated by the drive shaft 18 of a motor 16 to perform surface treatment of a fracture surface 46 of a columnar element 38 such as a bolt. The scattering prevention cover includes: a tubular upper cover 300A being attached to the motor 16 and covering the tool member 12; and a lower cover 300B covering the columnar element 38. The internal space of the lower cover 300B is divided into two by a partition member 533 having a through-hole 533a so that the upper cover 300A can be inserted from the distal end thereof into one space, and the fracture surface 46 of the columnar element 38 passes through the through-hole 533a from the other space and protrudes into the one space.
