PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing device, a method and a program, with high data compression rate, wherein high accuracy is secured when the data is expanded. SOLUTION: The signal processing device comprises: a discrete data storage section 20 for storing a plurality of discrete data; a peak value extracting section 30 for extracting a peak value in which a value becomes a maximum or a minimum, in the plurality of data stored in the discrete data storage section 20; and a parameter determining section 40 for determining a parameter of a function so that an error from the discrete data which exists between adjoining two peak values may become the minimum, by using a function in which a waveform can be changed by changing the parameter.
