<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gummi candy having fresh caramel like palate feeling which has shape-retaining properties while having extremely smooth palate feeling and favorable meltability in the mouth like those of fresh caramel, and is distributable at normal temperature. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The gummi candy having fresh caramel like palate feeling is produced by using dextrin made of potato-derived raw material and having DE2-5, and Psyllium seed gum at the same time. More preferably, the dextrin has the following properties (a): (a) a viscosity when the 30 mass% aqueous solution of the dextrin prepared using 25°C distilled water is left at rest at 25°C for 5 minutes is ≤200 mPa s.
