The present invention relates to a removable cover system for a basin such as a waste water basin. The cover system comprises one or more panel sheets 101 having a primary extension in the longitudinal direction (L) across the width of the basin, wherein each panel sheet 101 has longitudinal edges 102, 103 that are reinforced, and are slideably connected to panel sheet sliding tracks 221, 222 provided on each side of support beams 113, 113' that extend longitudinally across the width of the basin. The short end 105 of the panel at the far side of the basin is fitted with pull ropes 113, 114 that extend from the far side 107 of the basin through a hollow cavity 220 provided inside the support beams 115, 115', to the proximal side of the basin, said pull ropes enabling the manoeuvring of the panel sheet 101 from the proximal side of the basin only. |
