Pin-like projections are formed at the measuring sensor cover and made of the plastic material. The pin-like projections are connected at a housing (2) by a retainer in a play free manner. The retainer is formed at the housing as passage openings, and the projections are guided through the passage openings and formed at free ends. An independent claim is also included for a method for fastening a measuring sensor cover made of plastic material at a housing opening of a housing of a steering element.
