PURPOSE: A scroll compressor is provided to easily vary the compressed capacity of the compressor by installing a bypass valve which selectively opens and closes a gap between a middle pressure chamber and a low pressure space. CONSTITUTION: A scroll compressor comprises an airtight container, frames(20,30), a fixed scroll(50), and a rotary scroll. The frames are fixed to a low pressure space of the airtight container. The rotary scroll is geared with the fixed scroll and forms a pair of compression chambers. A middle pressure chamber(120) is formed on the outside the compression chambers. One or more first bypass holes(110) are formed in one side of the middle pressure chamber, and second bypass holes(130) are formed in the other side of the middle pressure chamber. |
