<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic microparticle having a high insulating property, hardly degrading saturation magnetization and having excellent biological-substance-extracting ability, which is manufactured by a method suitable for industrial use and having high productivity. <P>SOLUTION: This metallic microparticle comprises a metallic particle nucleus which is composed mainly of a magnetic metal and has an average particle diameter of 10 μm or smaller, and the metallic particle nucleus is covered with two or more inorganic materials which are different from each other in a multilayer form. The inorganic material of covering one part or all parts of the metallic particle nucleus while coming into contact with the metallic microparticle nucleus is composed of the oxide of at least one element selected from Si, V, Ti, Al, Nb, Zr and Cr, and to the outside of the inorganic material of covering one part or all parts of the metallic particle nucleus while coming into contact with the metallic microparticle nucleus, the coating layer of an amorphous silicon oxide is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
