<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vehicle occupant restraint system which is capable of keeping a wrap belt at a proper attachment position, in a simple construction, without depending on a guide means. <P>SOLUTION: A four-point seat belt system 10 includes: a pair of right and left wrap belts 12 respectively having one ends supported by a vehicle seat 11 and coupled to each other via a buckle 14 and tongue plate 16 respectively provided at the other ends so as to restrain the waist of a seated occupant (P); a pair of right and left shoulder belts 18 that are coupled at their respective lower ends to the wrap belts 12 located on the same side in the direction of the width of the seat so as to restrain the upper body of the seated occupant (P); retractors 20 reeling the upper ends of the respective shoulder belts 18 so as to be pulled out while applying a bias force to the respective shoulder belts 18 in a direction to retract the shoulder belts 18; and mold plates 22 for retaining the shape of the respective wrap belts 12, provided at respective coupled sections 12A at which the shoulder belts 18 are joined to the corresponding wrap belts 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
