<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure pump which can be easily manufactured and which stabilizes delivery quantity. <P>SOLUTION: This pump includes a housing body 11 having a fuel passage 100 introducing fuel to a pressurizing chamber 121, a valve body 30 disposed in the fuel passage 100, a valve member 40 comprising a disk 41 seated on or separated from a valve seat 34 of the valve body 30 and a hollow guide 42 extending to the pressurizing chamber 121 from the disk 41, a stopper 50 having a cylinder 51 and regulating the movement of the valve member 40 in a valve open direction, a needle 60 capable of abutting on the valve member 40, and an electromagnetic drive 70 capable of attracting the needle 60 in a valve close direction of the valve member 40. The guide 42 includes a cylindrical guide surface 43 which slides on the outer wall of the cylinder 51 of the stopper 50 and has an inner diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the disk 41 of the valve member 40, on an inner wall thereof. The valve body 30 includes an annular fuel passage 101 in which fuel in the fuel passage 100 flows between the outer wall of the valve member 40 and the valve body 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
