<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip for an automobile in which the sealability between a trim part and a flange is excellent, and no rust is generated on the flange. <P>SOLUTION: The weather strip 10 for automobile comprises a trim part 20 of substantially U-shaped or J-shaped section which is fitted to a peripheral edge of a vehicle body opening part or a flange 7 of an opening part opening/closing member, and holds the weather strip 10, and has a vehicle exterior sidewall 21, a vehicle interior sidewall 22 and a bottom wall 23, and a seal part 30 which is integrated with an outer surface of the vehicle exterior sidewall 21 of the trim part 20, and abutted on the opening part opening/closing member or the peripheral edge of the opening part to perform the sealing. A water-repellent layer 35 is formed on an end face of a distal end part 21b of the vehicle exterior sidewall 21 and an inner surface of the distal end part of the vehicle exterior sidewall 21 continuous to the end face. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
