<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer capable of reducing shear resistance of a lubrication component oil film formed between a ball and a pocket of the retainer to reduce a bearing torque. <P>SOLUTION: At the ball opposing face 20 of the pocket 6, the inner diameter side 20a<SB>1</SB>β of the end part 20a<SB>1</SB>of the opening side 20a and the outer diameter side 20b<SB>1</SB>α of the bottom part 20b<SB>1</SB>are notched along a circumferential direction, thereby forming recesses 21 and 22. With these recesses 21 and 22, a ball non-contact part N is formed which is not in contact therewith even if the ball 4 is rotated. By this ball non-contact part N, a ball contact area of the ball opposing face 20 of the pocket 6 is 0.5 to 0.7 times as compared with a case where the ball non-contact part N is not formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
