PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool which has a function of mounting and dismounting a component, and can machine a workpiece with the component mounted thereon. SOLUTION: In the machine tool 10 having a first spindle 23 and a second spindle 26, a dummy head W2 having an opening is mounted in a cylinder block W1 with a bolt; a tool for a bolt, provided to remove the bolt, is attached to the first spindle 23; a honing tool T2 for polishing the cylinder block W1 is attached to the second spindle 26; and the dummy head W2 is mounted on the cylinder block W1 by using the tool for the bolt. Then, the tool attached to the first spindle 23 is replaced with a cutting tool T1 for cutting the cylinder block W1, and the cylinder block W1 is machined through the opening of the dummy head W2 by using the cutting tool T1 and the honing tool T2.
