PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems with a cargo fastener using the principal of pulleys (a structure having only shafts without pulley) that a pull force exerted by hand and a pullup force are equal and a cargo fastener using gears can produce a large pull force, but it is heavy and expensive. SOLUTION: Since a force acting on a truss (tensile force, not compression force) is used, no gears are necessary. A rope is attached to a ring A2, and the other end of the rope is drawn upward through the ring A2 after being passed through a ring A1. A point A of the rope is pulled with a force F while a 2D part of the rope is pulled. Next, the 2D part of the rope is pulled while the point A is loosened. Ropes 1A and 1B are tightened with the repetition of these operations. The force acting on a truss structure (strong tensile force) acts on the ropes 1A and 1B. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
