<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headrest by which the weight of a lid member can be effectively reduced, the size of the whole headrest can be well enlarged and the weight of the whole headrest can be well reduced. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The headrest 10 has a reinforcing plate member 28 and the plate member 28 has a coupling plate 40 fixed to a rotary part 26 and a plate body part 42. A lid attaching part 46 is fixed to the plate body section 42 and a lid member 64 is mounted to the plate body section via the lid attaching part 46. A projecting part 70 projecting facing the plate member 28 is arranged in the outer periphery of a lid member 64, and a plurality of recessed parts 72 are formed in a face 70a facing the plate member 28 in the projecting part 70. The recessed part 72 arranged at a position capable of viewing the lid attaching part 46 from outside of the recessed parts 72 of the lid member 64 is set to be a recessed part 72a.
