The panel (2) has a solar module (4) with a connection side element (4a). A recess (12) is formed in the connection side element. Two electrical conductors (10a, 10b) are sectionally arranged in the recess. One of the conductors directly contacts an associated connection of a diode (26) i.e. surface mounted diode, and the other conductor directly contacts another associated connection of the diode, so that the conductors are electrically connected by the diode. A cover element (24) is fixed at the connection side element, and covers the recess and the diode.
