<p>The method involves arranging locking projections (14) of a lock ring (12) of a rotor (9a) to each other in an angular pitch (T) at the lock ring, and attaching locking recesses (13a, 13b) to sides, respectively. A lock pin (15) is partially lowered into a lowering area (17) for checking properties of a mechanical barrier such that a small air gap remains between the lowering area and the lock pin until the partially lowered lock pin lies against one of the locking projections. Torque is determined and monitored for checking properties of the mechanical barrier.
