METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SYNCHRONIZING QUIET PERIODIN COGNITIVE RADIO SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for synchronizing a QP(Quiet Period) cognitive radio system are provided to supply QP scheduling synchronization to neighbor base stations using an in-band channel by including the information which can discriminate the in-band channel and an out-band channel. CONSTITUTION: A receiver(602) receives a QP(Quiet Period) information on a first channel from a neighbor base station, and a control unit(600) confirms an in-band channel within a first channel. In the case of the in-band channel, a QP scheduling manager(608) performs QP scheduling according to the QP information. In the case of an out-band channel, the QP scheduling management unit judges the necessity of scheduling for an out-band channel. If the scheduling for the out-band channel is required, the QP scheduling management unit relays the QP information to another neighbor base station.
