<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aluminum titanate ceramic sintered body, in which the shrinkage in sintering is reduced, and the aluminum titanate ceramic sintered boy. <P>SOLUTION: The method of producing the aluminum titanate ceramic sintered body comprises mixing 2-25 pts.wt. inorganic oxide powder to 100 pts.wt. aluminum titanate ceramic powder, molding and sintering.
