<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform pull-in operation, for example, in both closing and opening a sliding door while attaining simplification. <P>SOLUTION: A sliding assist mechanism for assisting operation for switching a moving body from a first position on the body side to a second position or from the second position to the first position includes a case 1 mounted to the body side; a first moving member and a second moving member (sliders 2A, 2B) slidably arranged in the case 1; a pair of latches 5, 5 pivoted to the moving members respectively and releasably locked to corresponding parts on the case side; and an energizing means 3 provided between both moving members to energize latch support parts of the respective moving members in mutually approaching directions. When the moving body is switched halfway to the first position from the second position or halfway to the second position from the first position, locking of one latch is released by an engaging pin 9 provided at the moving body, and the engaging pin is pulled together with the latch to the other latch side into the first position or the second position with the approaching drive through the moving members and energizing means 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
